Former Miss Nevada Katie Rees was arrested in the Southwest part of Las Vegas early Wednesday morning after what could have been a routine traffic stop.

According Martin Wright, public information officier for Las Vegas Metro Police Department, Rees became physically violent towards police.  She was brought into the Clark County Correction Facility and booked under the following charges;

-basic speed-driving on a suspended license

-operating a motor vehicle with suspended license plates

-no proof of insurance

-operating a motor vehicle with expired license plates

-resisting a police officer.  

Katie Rees was stripped of her Miss Nevada crown in December 2006 after pictures surfaced that showed her in public situation wearing no clothes and in provactive poses.
