Megan\'s Meal Plan

The Nevada Division of Welfare and Supportive Services has reported that over 2 million people have claimed poverty and are in need of government financial assistance and of those 2 million a little less then 1 million are under the age of 18.

Nevada ranks 34 highest states nationally for welfare assistance.

According to the Nevada Welfare and Supportive Service gives an average of $91.47 a month, per person in food stamps.

While many nevadans find this impossible to live on and often fight this issue with government officials, I investigated further and found it quite possible to live on.

While this chart doesn’t offer the varity of fruits and vegtibles, nor does it offer the low calorie diet, it is still possible to surive off the $91.47 aide offered by the government.

$91.47 broken down by week totals $22.86 and if you break that down by day it totals $3.26, so the next time you complain about gas prices or not having enough cash you should think about the $6.50 you just dropped at McDonalds for one meal. If some of us can live on $1.08 a meal then perhaps you are spending your money too frivioulously.
