Better Than E!

Not Just Sex and Drugs…

There is still time…

Is it really summer already?

It seems like yesterday you were sitting next to the fire with marshmallows, but beach goers beware those winter foods may have done a bigger problem to your waist line then you think.

Right about now you are thinking about how you can tighten up those jiggley abs before your friends ask you to go to the beach. A new website on About.com shows just what you need to do to get your midsection looking great.

Take for example Thanksgiving dinner, some of the treats on that table may include  wine, celery stuffed with cream cheese, raw veggies, nuts, fruit, salad with diet dressing, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, dinner roll, pumpkin pie with whipped cream and we will add a small piece of fudge that you just couldn’t refuse.

According to About.com that meal comes to,” 2580 calories.”

Health.com suggests that the average adult restrict themselves to an average of 2000 calories a day.

But just what does it take to burn off the perfect thanksgiving dinner?

”You will need to walk 25.8 miles, 41.61 kilometers, or 51600 steps, assuming you cover one mile in 2,000 steps to burn off 2580 calories” said About.com

If you are from Las Vegas, you would have to walk from the exit at Durango on Summerlin Parkway to the Russell Road Exit off North I15.

However, never fear, About.com recommends that if you are trying to lose weight, “aim to eat 500 fewer calories per day than your daily caloric need and maintain increased activity.”
